I recently performed a cockroach extermination job in Abeno Ward, Osaka City.

Service call fee: ¥2,200

Labor fee: ¥3,300

Total: ¥5,500

Since there was a baby in the home, I did not use "Goki-Jet Pro" this time. I avoid using insecticides in households with small children or pets. Although the Goki-Jet Pro can states it is safe for homes with children and pets, many people prefer not to use insecticides in such environments. In these cases, I use a landing net. I catch the cockroach using the net, work gloves, and a paper towel—taking care not to crush it—and quickly place it in a bag to finish the capture. After leaving the house, I insert the spray nozzle into the bag, spray it, and the job is done.

When I do use insecticides, I clean the floors and other surfaces with a diluted neutral detergent.

Most of my pest control requests are for cockroach extermination, though I also handle stink bugs and, occasionally, spiders.

Many people who dislike insects or cockroaches already take preventive measures. They seal gaps to keep pests out when moving in, clean frequently, and—if living in an apartment building—try to choose a higher floor. Even so, cockroaches can suddenly appear one day. When that happens, please give me a call. I can rush over to help, even late at night.

*After the first hour, an additional 1,650 yen is charged for every 30 minutes of work.

*Separate charges may apply for travel expenses (if the location is far) or equipment costs (if special tools are used).
